Appointed Trustees
Timberlake watershed, located in Campbell County, Virginia, is situated in and is governed by the Robert E. Lee Soil & Water Conservation District.
RELWSCD may appoint, in consultation with and subject to the approval of the Virginia Soil and Water Conservation Board, three trustees who are owners of land within the watershed improvement district.
The trustees exercise the administrative duties and powers delegated to them by the directors of the soil and water conservation district. The trustees hold office at the will of the directors of the soil and water conservation district and the Virginia Soil and Water Conservation Board.
Charles Falwell, chair
Charlie has worked in general commercial contracting for over 48 years specializing in clean water—wells, filtration, water storage systems,irrigation repair, and waste water treatment systems.
He has held leadership roles in civic and community organizations in Campbell County, in the Commonwealth, and in national industry associations.
He has lived on Timberlake for over four decades and was instrumental in the reconstruction of the lake and dam after it failed in 1995.
Kim Steinhorst, treasurer
Kim is a seasoned communicator and problem solver having spent over thirty years as a project manager, team leader, and consultant in banking, agriculture, and as a restaurant owner.
He has also served as a Presbyterian pastor for over two decades and is respected for his certifications in intercultural facilitation and leadership, and in mediation and conflict management.
Kim has been a resident on Timberlake since 2017 and is often found on the lake in his kayak or pontoon boat.
Dr. Bob Lockridge, secretary
Dr. Lockridge is a long-time visitor and now resident and property owner in the Timberlake community, having spent his summers on the lake since birth. He is retired from a 35-year career in a Clinical Nephrology and served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Nephrology at University of Virginia.
Prior to his election as a WID Trustee, Bob was a member of the Timberlake WID Advisory Committee beginning in January 2014 where he coordinated the first bathymetric study of Timberlake in 2017 and educated the project stakeholders on potential methods of dredging.
