Entities and Their Charter and Responsibilities
Timberlake Homeowners Association
Owner of Timberlake and other real estate parcels around Timberlake
Incorporated, Articles, Rules, Membership, open to any lot owner in the “Timberlake Subdivision” (THA)
The purpose of the THA is the maintenance of Timberlake, including its waters, dam, spillway, and all common areas within the Timberlake Subdivision. The THA, as owner, is responsible for maintenance of Timberlake, including its waters, dam, spillway, and all common areas within the Timberlake Subdivision. All property shall be kept in good condition in keeping with high standards of appearance, health, and safety.
Timberlake Watershed Improvement Advisory Committee (TWIDAC)
An informal committee, open to all landowners within the TWID boundary, created for the purposes of allowing any TWID landowners the opportunity to
provide advice, counsel, input and feedback to the Timberlake Watershed Improvement District Trustees related to soil and water conservation or water management construction improvements to check erosion, provide drainage, collect sediment or stabilize the runoff of surface water
within the Timberlake WID.
Timberlake Watershed Improvement District (TWID)
The Timberlake Watershed Improvement District constitutes a political subdivision of this Commonwealth, as described in Code of VA § 10.1-620.
All Campbell County, VA properties having shoreline on Timberlake, Buffalo created by Timberlake Drive, South Timberlake Drive and Old Plantation Drive, inclusive of the Timberlake Dam and the emergency and primary spillways, a territory that is contiguous and all in one watershed.
Code of Virginia § 10.1-62: Directors of the RELSWCD appoint, with approval of the
VASWCB, three trustees (must be landowner) to exercise the administrative duties and powers delegated to them by the directors of the RELSWCD, trustees designate a chairman and treasurer responsible for the safekeeping of the funds of the Watershed Improvement District.On January 23, 2020 the RELSWCD Board delegated “all WID management, operational and financial administrative duties and powers” to the Trustees,
